Crop Candy TV: Making Layouts with Close to My Heart Scrapbooking Patterns, Part I
In the latest installment of Crop Candy TV, I show you how to make layouts using Close to My Heart (CTMH) scrapbooking patterns.
I use a three-level approach:
1) Basic – I use paper with a preprinted layout to make a simple, yet attractive page.
2) Step It Up – Using a pattern from the book, Reflections, I make a creative layout and add an embellishment.
3) Glam It Up – Building upon the Step It Up page, I add stamping to my layout.
The video shows demonstrates Levels 1 and 2. Part II of this video series will show you Level 3.

How I Met Goldie Hawn
This is from the journaling block:
Yep, that’s me with Goldie Hawn. Private Benjamin. I met her at the 2009 ASCD Annual Conference. She was giving a presentation with one of the ASCD authors, Dr. Judy Willis. Tim Ito (my boss) wanted me to snag an interview with Goldie and get her to talk about our Whole Child program, even though her publicist didn’t want her to say anything about it because she wasn’t familiar with it. I did ask a question about the Whole Child directed at Judy, but Goldie jumped right in! She’s very sharp on education issues. And she’s also very nice…
BONUS: Download a PDF of the layout pattern for you to try yourself. Send your version of the layout to me and I’ll post it here!
