First of all, thanks for showcasing my post on your site. I'm really flattered!
Let me say that I truly believe on this concept, because I do truly believe that (1) scrapbooking is an activity suitable for everyone, regardless if the think of themselves as crafty/artistic or not, and (2) every person should have a "scrapbook", either made by themselves or by someone else.
To me, a scrapbook is a book... a very exclusive edition of a very special book. It's YOUR book! Books can be filled with only words, only photos, or anything else in between. Everybody deserves the pleasure of having a book about them, even if a tiny one dedicated to a "mundane" memory...
Then, scrapbooking sometimes seems scary to people just because it may seem to be only one way to be done. But scrapbooking is about preserving your photos, telling your story, and sharing it today and in the future.
If you happen to be a creative person and you enjoy the artistic aspect of this activity, go for it 100%. But don't close your door just because you think "creative", "crafty" or "artistic" are words that don't describe your nature. Your beloved photos paired to a couple of words can make a magical book, even if it looks more like a traditional book than a traditional scrapbook, even if the style could be called "extreme minimalism" than any other thing.
