Topstitch Kit Layouts

Here are the layouts I made with Topstitch, the February Kit of the Month.

Layout 1 – “Who’s That Girl”

This is the main layout from the instruction guide.  I decided to make a homage to my younger days.

Materials:

I enjoyed making the heart embellishments with the stamp flowers and sparkle accents.  The sparkles and hearts are included in the Best option and give your pages some bling.  However, it’s easy to make the layouts without these add-ons.  You could use the stamps in place of the hearts and you’d still get a cute layout.

Layout 2 – “Ahoy Matey”

Materials:

This is the bonus layout you can make with the Topstitch Kit of the Month.  I decided to highlight a scrapbooking weekend getaway I attend every January in Gettysburg, Pa. with my sister-in-law.  (The event is put on by Creative Memories consultants–LOL! More on that in another post).  Each year, there’s a different theme.  Last year was pirates.

What I really like about this kit is that I didn’t use any extra materials to complete the layouts, except for the Field Trip alphabet stamps.  If Field Trip isn’t your thing, you could always substitute for another font, be it stamps or die-cut letters.

I’ll show you the cards you can make in an upcoming post.
